We currently have two positions available.
Trainee Machine Operative (Full-time / Permanent)
Training will be given in the following areas:
- Operating a Homag panel saw to cut boards accurately to specification
- Operating, setting and maintaining edge banding machine
- Using a forklift to load and unload materials safely
- Learn about housekeeping and daily maintenance checks in the work area
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all working practices and procedures are followed at all times
- Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately
- Undertake any other duties in line with capabilities
- Maintenance and safe working practices and use of PPE
Essential skills:
- Excellent timekeeping
- Good problem-solving skills
- Positive and proactive approach to work
- Willing to work in tandem with others to meet production targets and deadlines.
Desirable skills:
- Whilst not essential, it would be advantageous to be able to demonstrate a mechanical mind and an interest in manufacturing through work experience, hobbies, project work etc.

Hours 38.5
Worktime Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8.30am-1pm

HGV Driver (HGV2)
Completion of multi drop deliveries within a planned route, assisting customers with unloading.
Duties, requirements and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Supervising or directly assisting with the loading and unloading of goods ensuring they are safely secured
- Completion of multi drop deliveries, of a variety of goods, in a professional and timely manner
- Assisting customers with off-loading
- Complete daily vehicle checks
- Operate within current driving and working time legislation
Essential skills:
- One year's experience of driving a goods vehicle (preferred)
- Hold a digital tachograph and CPC card
Desirable skills:
- HGV1 license
Contract type Permanent
Salary Wage to be discussed at interview (will depend on experience)
